Does converting JPG to PNG improve image quality?
No. JPEG compression discards image detail when the original file is saved, and that detail cannot be recovered by converting to PNG afterward. The PNG copy will be pixel-for-pixel identical to the JPG you uploaded, just stored in a lossless container.
Why convert JPG to PNG at all?
PNG supports transparency and is a lossless format, so it's useful when you need to edit the image further without adding more compression artifacts, or when a tool or platform specifically requires a PNG file.
Will the PNG file be larger than the JPG?
Usually yes. PNG stores pixel data losslessly, which typically produces a larger file than JPEG's compressed format, especially for photos with lots of color detail.
Is my image uploaded to a server?
No. The conversion happens locally in your browser using the HTML canvas API. Your file is never transmitted anywhere.
Can I convert multiple JPG files at once?

What if my file won't upload?
